What is PMEGP?

Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) is a scheme run by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). The scheme gives a financial subsidy to small business units and individuals to start new projects. The scheme gives a government subsidy of 15% to 35% of the project cost. The remaining amount is given as a loan by a bank.
You can do a loan of ₹25 lakh (manufacturing) and ₹10 lakh (services). The scheme encourages self-employment, especially in rural and semi-urban areas, and supports economic growth by funding small enterprises.
